Superchunk

Chapel Hill, NC's Superchunk have gotten inadvertently more refined over the years, adding fancy producers (well, Jim O'Rourke) and brass accompaniment to their brattish, indie rock mix. Fortunately, maturity has not softened the punch of this DIY quartet. Garage guitar lines play feedback ping pong with their amplifiers as a sort of bravado to Mac McCaughan's vulnerable vocal yelps. The perfect accompaniment to a night of stolen summer pleasures.
