New York, NY (July 19, 2005) On Saturday, July 16, 2005 the 5th Annual Village Voice SIREN MUSIC FESTIVAL at Coney Island secured its status as the premier outdoor indie rock festival by again drawing over 100,000 music fans throughout the day to the annual free event with its stellar lineup.

Spoon, Mates Of State, Brendan Benson, Dungen, VHS Or Beta, Q And Not U, The Dears, Saul Williams, Ambulance LTD, Diamond Nights, Morningwood, Be Your Own Pet, Detachment Kit, Nine Black Alps, Tommie Sunshine, and The Notorious SHOUT! DJs drew fans from all over the country to the two outdoor stages located on West 10th Street and Stillwell Avenue in historic Coney Island.

The 5th Annual Village Voice SIREN MUSIC FESTIVAL was sponsored by Budweiser, LGE MobileComm USA Inc., Tower Records, Xbox, Clear Channel Communications, Inc., Music Player Live, Garnier Fructis, Converse, Astroland and TriBeCa Grand Hotel.
