The Village Voice Presents 2nd Annual
New York, NY (May 28, 2002) The Village Voice, the nation's largest alternative weekly newspaper, is excited to announce the initial line-up for the 2nd Annual SIREN MUSIC FESTIVAL at Coney Island on Saturday, July 20th, 2002 from 12:00 noon - 9:00 p.m.
Scheduled performers include Sleater-Kinney, The Donnas, The Shins, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Les Savy Fav, The Von Bondies, Bob Log III, Rye Coalition and more!
The 2nd Annual SIREN MUSIC FESTIVAL at Coney Island is sponsored in part by Budweiser, Pearl Vodka, Astroland Amusement Park and Fresh Samantha.
This free, all-day, all-ages music and arts festival will feature live national and local bands performing throughout the Coney Island amusement park on two outdoor stages. Additionally, the Siren Music Festival will present Cirque de Siren, hosted by Lady Bunny and Murray Hill, a spectacle of drag, cabaret and eclectic circus performances, and Sodom by the Sea, a late night burlesque show. SIREN will also showcase multi-media installations by local artists on Stillwell Avenue and in an Art Walk on the Bowery.
