New York, NY (July 15, 2002) The Village Voice, the nation's largest alternative weekly newspaper, is excited to announce the line-up for the 2nd Annual SIREN MUSIC FESTIVAL at Coney Island on Saturday, July 20th, 2002 from 12:00 noon - 9:00 p.m.

Performing on the 10th Street Main Stage will be Sleater-Kinney, The Donnas, The Shins, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Les Savy Fav, The Von Bondies and Bob Log III. After the success of last yearŐs SIREN MUSIC FESTIVAL debut, a second outdoor stage on Stillwell Avenue has been added featuring Mooney Suzuki, Liars, Shannon Wright, Pretty Girls Make Graves and Rye Coalition.

The 2nd Annual SIREN MUSIC FESTIVAL at Coney Island is sponsored in part by Budweiser, Pearl Vodka, Astroland Amusement Park, Samantha Juices, Deno's Wonder Wheel, Kim's Music, and Straight From the Crate/CD Holdings.

This free, all-day, all-ages music and arts festival will also present Cirque de Siren, hosted by Lady Bunny and Murray Hill. This show offers a spectacle of drag, cabaret and eclectic circus performances including Joey Arias, the Acrobat/Trapeze team of LAVA and more. Burlesque or Bust! late night burlesque shows will feature The World Famous Pontani Sisters, Bonnie Dunn and others. SIREN will also showcase multi-media installations by local artists on Stillwell Avenue and in an Art Walk on the Bowery.
