New York, NY (July 22, 2003) On Saturday, July 19, 2003 the Village Voice 3rd Annual SIREN MUSIC FESTIVAL at Coney Island solidified its
status as the premier outdoor indie rock festival by drawing a record 150,000 music fans to the annual free event with its standout international and national
lineup.
Performing before record crowds totaling more than 150,000 throughout the day, Modest Mouse, Idlewild, The Datsuns, Hot Hot Heat, Sahara
Hotnights, Radio 4, Ted Leo/Pharmacists, !!!, The Kills, Northern State, The Dirtbombs, The Pattern, Oneida, and The Witnesses drew fans from all over the
country to the two outdoor stages located on West 10th Street and Stillwell Avenue in historic Coney Island.
The Village Voice 3rd Annual SIREN MUSIC FESTIVAL was sponsored in part by Budweiser, LG Mobile Phones, Best Buy, dnL, Garnier Fructis,
Washington Mutual, Astroland Amusement Park and the TriBeCa Grand Hotel. Media partners included WFUV and Citysearch.com.
